Biography
There are at least two bands named Smirnoff:
1) Polish thrash metal/crossover
2) German death metal/grindcore
1) One of the longest running crossover acts from Poland, they were formed in 1984, based in Ciechanów. Over the years the band's line-up changed a lot, with Krzysztof "Krycha" Antośkiewicz remaining the only original member. The first line-up was made of Krycha on the guitars, Maciej Bujakowski as the bassist, Artur Mikiewicz as the drummer, Andrzej Chrzanowski as second guitarst and Tomczak as the vocalist. The last four left the band in 1986 and were replaced by Wojciech "Mgiełka" Bardoński (bassist), Marek "Lacha" Laskowski (guitarist, hanged himself in 2002), Piotr Drozdowski (vocalist) and Grzegorz "Mesajka" Gładki (drummer, also played in Garden of Worm and Bundeswehra). After the departure of vocalist Piotr, Krycha also assumed the vocal roles, in addition to playing the guitar. Mgiełka left the band in 1989 and was replaced by Michał "Misiek" Żukowski (also played in a band called Fighter). In 1990 guitarist Lacha left the band but they managed to carry on with only one guitar player. Discography:

2) Formed in 1994, based in Frauenprießnitz, Thuringia and disbanded in 2004, their line-up consisted of Ronny Haase (bassist and vocalist, former member of Mean Bomb), Mathias Märtin (drummer) and Stefan Müller (lead vocals and guitars). Discography:
