  • Seeing that these days practically every one-hit wonder (not to mention many no-hit wonders) has its own box set, how is it even remotely possible that a decent Rufus career retrospective/compilation has NEVER been released? There was a low-budget, 10-song "Very Best of Rufus" in 1982, and NOTHING since. This is a seminal, important band with a stellar career and an incredible musical legacy. A major, major R&B/pop act of the 70's/early 80's. You'd think somebody in the music industry would think them worthy. Or is Chaka Khan not allowing it to happen? I remember once seeing a Rufus Anthology announced as an upcoming release in Billboard and thinking "finally!"...but that was in the late 80's/early 90's, and it never appeared. WTF????
