Rassell or Ruslan Kuksinovich was born in 1982 in Liepaja. In 1995 bagan to engage in HipHop music. In 1998 he created a group ''Device'' which has proven that it is one of the leaders of Latvia in its musical style. Ten years this team surprised Latvia with the topical HipHop and R&B music, combining it with pop music elements.
As the basis of this is that in 2005 the group ''Device'' was invited to sing in Raymond Paul's song ''She's Got The Right Key'' executed by the Swedish singer Sonja Bishop.
Also Rassell writes and produces songs for many popular artists in Latvia, such as: Ozols, Gacho, "Scandal Inc.", ‘’A-Europa’’. Based on the fact that urban music hits more and more teenage hearts, Rassell collaborate and write songs for new Latvian musicians, youth group "PeR", Sabine Berezina and many others.
Recording company "Microphone Records'' has released three ‘’Device'' albums - "Better Days" (2002), "18 Touchez" (2003) and "2 Hot 4 LV'' (2006). The last album in particular became famous with Rassell's song "Ti Dlja Menja" featuring ''Scandal Inc.'' and the famous Russian group's "Banda" member Ratmir Shishkov, who shortly after that in Moscow penetrated in heavy car accident and died. Although small, but international recognition Rassell has obtained with his song "4 Da Club Headz" featuring Ladybird which was released in Indonesia and Korea, alongside other world-famous artists like: Jamelia, Chingy, ‘’West Side Connection’’, Kylie Minogue, ‘’Beastie Boys’’, Starsailor’’.
The group has acquired ownership of two music awards. The popular European music magazine ''Top Of The Pops'' recognized a group the best newcomers in Latvian music in 2002.
And the song ''4 Da Club Headz'' was recognized as the best HipHop Song - 2004.
Rassell’s song ‘’Jauna, Jauka Māmiņa'' from the third group’s album have included in the Austrian, British and Latvian co-produced film ''Midsummer Madness''.
"Device" has created five videos and featured with other Latvian artists - Ivo Fomin and Thomas Klein, the group "Tumsa", female singer Ladybird.
Rassell in collaboration with ''Platforma.lv'' has presented the first solo album - ''Cool & Sentimental'' (2009). Several songs from the album Rassell has recorded with other Latvian popular artists. A wider audience has already been presented with four singles - a song ''Es Vairs Tevi Nemīlu'', group's ''Level 42'' cover version ''Lessons In Love'', duet with the singer Emi ''These Are A Few Words'' and "The Running Life'' in collaboration with Intars Busulis.
