RPA & The United Nations of Sound is a British rock band formed by vocalist Richard Ashcroft, former lead singer of The Verve. Ashcroft announced the formation of the band and the first promo single with the band, “Are You Ready?”, on 18 January 2010 in an exclusive premiere on the NME website. On 9 April 2010 the band released a fanclub-only track, “Third Eye (Colombus Circle)”.
In the first two weeks of June Ashcroft and his musicians completed an European tour (Ancona, Paris, Berlin, Cologne, Amsterdam, Manchester and London) and, according to Richard’s website, they will play in Tokyo and Osaka on 7-8 August 2010 during the Summer Sonic Festival 2010 and also in Melbourne, Sidney and Perth respectively on 30 July, 31 July and 4 August. The band will play in Australia also during the Splendour in the Grass Festival in late July. The band’s debut album as Richard’s backing lineup, entitled “United Nations of Sound”, will be released on 19 July 2010. On 5 July 2010 Ashcroft announced through his website that “Born Again”, the first proper single, will be officially released the same day of the album.

Ashcroft should have stayed in The Verve, but he didn't. Then he should have followed his solo career which was really great, but he again didn't. His previous actions were successfull, This band seems to improve in future, don't forget, Richard is member of it!!! :)) This band is currently ok, but I expect it to be GREAT in nearest future:)
