Biography
Patrick Carroll was a singer-songwriter from Traverse City, Michigan. As a teenager, he fronted the locally-influential "emergency rock" band, Tanooki Suit. He later co-founded Blackwater Valley Songs, a collective of Traverse City musicians made up primarily of former members of Tanooki Suit, Semblance of Normalcy, and Bleak Hotel.
Carroll then embarked on a solo career that culminated in the 2013 release of "Glow in the Dark," the result of years of work. Shortly after the release of his solo album, Carroll succumbed to his lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. His music, which has been described as brutally honest, muses on topics such as the fragility of life and the human necessity of love.
