PARLOVR are three ones born in a Parc Extension loft of that name in the late months of 2005. Two errant songwriters on either end of the ring and a mesmerizing electronic artist-cum-referee standing in the middle come together to mash orchestral pop, punk and dark dance to make their own brand of heavy-hearted sloppy pop. Perhaps weird, they dance on reverb and puzzle each other with their vein-bursting off-key singing and off-kilter songs. Few mutual tastes, though a shared ear for honesty. Likened to nothing, but sound like something. Intentionally tinny, but not self-deprecating. Exploding with minimalism. Without fail, enjoying things however they may be.

That is a rather pretentious band description though. I haven't understood anything. :x Cute songs

@naseoj ????????? you serious???? so parlovr repeat the same phrase more than once and it becomes a 'shine a light' rip off? that is literally the only similarity i can see between the two tracks. they dont deal with the same themes lyrically, don't have a similar chord pattern, rhythm,, i actually can't think of any more things to prove you're wrong. i dont see it myself.

Man these guys blew me away. I wrote up a short concert review of their show at El Mocambo in Toronto with a video of "All The World Is All":

pen to the paper is a good song, too bad it's a blatant rip-off of wolf parade's "shine a light"
