Northern Portrait is a group from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band was founded in July 2007. The band lists a few 80’s bands among the influences (The Smiths, Echo And The Bunnymen and The Housemartins) and has recorded two EPs on the Matinée label, who signed them after just a few weeks after they uploaded their first demos on Myspace.
An album - Criminal Art Lovers was released in January 2010.

    True, there's nothing bad in liking The Smiths and trying to make similar some similar music. Though these guys declare in interviews that they didn't even know The Smiths and their music wasn't inspired from them... SHAME. Plus their lyrics are so superficial... not catching nor touching.
