Biography

NOISTRUCT (Illegal Frequencies/8-Bit Recordings/God Rekidz/Chase Records)
A founding member of Perth's first Digital Hardcore/breakcore label 8-Bit Recordings, Noistruct has been making hardcore and breakcore since 1998. Originally starting in Perth extreme noise band "Analogue Seaotter". First experimenting with drum machines and samplers before being introduced to programs like Rebirth, Soundforge and Hammerhead. Noistruct was briefly a two piece extreme noise/industrial act which included Perth speedcore/noise bastard "Peteor" around September/November 2001 and again with drum n bass/breaks DJ Chronik Beats - but by 2002, Noistruct was a solo project again, heavily leaning more and more towards digitally produced breakcore/hardcore. After being actively involved in Perth’s breakcore scene for 3 years, which including running a distribution label with Codek called "DT7 Records". Noistruct relocated to Sydney in June 2003 to become a part of the hardcore/breakcore scene there. Playing parties with crews like System Corrupt, Core-Tex/Travelcore and Killerwatts, eventually taking over the “Syco Radio Show" and later hosted “Illegal Frequencies" every Saturday night on 2serfm.
Noistruct has been involved in Melbourne's hardcore/breakcore scene since moving there in 2004, and along with crews like Black Lotus, Graylands and Demus has organised countless gigs and parties and organizes regular nights including "Illegal Frequencies" (which is also a radio show on RRRfm 102.7 and label of the same name). Aside from Noistruct, Boris co-founded the breakcore.com.au forum, makes dark ambient soundscapes as Mandark and plays in Melbourne band Camp Hill.
