Biography
Naive Set is an indie pop four-piece from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Biographical information from the Subroutine Records website:
Naive Set started in 2012, but the band’s melodic, harmony-rich pop sounds like it could’ve originated 25 years earlier. Or 25 years before that. Or 25 years in the future. The music is dense with 4-part harmonies and quick changes, while at the same time succinct (no song passes the 3-minute mark). During the recording of their first album, Reclining Nude (2014), producer Jan Schenk compared them to The Feelies. Others have drawn comparisons to The Beach Boys or classic Dunedin bands like The Clean. Naive Set’s members also play in Amsterdam bands Moon & Sun and Spilt Milk.
