Biography
(1) Melodic Dark / Black Metal from Osnabrück, a small city near the economical and cultural metropolis Mettingen, in Germany… Formed in 2005 by the singer and songwriter Askeroth. Released their first album “Das erste Abendmahl” in 2007. In the year 2009 they released their second album, titeld “Antik”. http://www.nachtblut.com They have played several concerts in Mettingen, Wersen, Lotte and Ibbenbüren.
(2) Black metal from Leipzig, Germany releasing two demos between 2004 and 2007.
(3) Black metal from Germany with members of Rabennacht, releasing one demo in 2006 called “Tempel des Todes”. http://www.nachtblut.de.vu

"Antik" is a beautiful song, though Nachtblut are still a poor man's Eisregen. Even "Antik" is obviously an effort to recreate the mood of "Dreizehn." They also try to recreate Cradle of Filth's "Dusk and Her Embrace" in their Bathory-based song. However, say what you want about CoF, Nachtblut simply do not have the lyrical prowess or the riffs to even come close. Overall an occasionally enjoyable, though ultimately forgettable band. I do love "Antik" though, that song is awesome.
