Biography
Mylene Pires is a singer, pianist, composer and lyricist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2003 she was one of the finalist for Brazil's prestigious Prêmio Visa award. Subsequently, Mylene released her first solo album called "Mylene." Later, the album was re-released and named "O Que É Que H á." This is also the name of a song that was added in this later version. It was well received by critics from Down Beat, Rolling Stone and the Canadian World Beat. Mylene's music has been described as downtempo Brazilian popular music (MPB) with a nicely contemporary electronic edge.
