Moss Agate was Formed by singer/songwriter and lead guitarist Bob Lyon after returning to Michigan from Arizona in 1995, and getting an old band from the 1970s (Kilgore Trout) back together to play some covers as "Kilgore's Ghost". After a small tornado destroyed most of their equipment during an outdoor gig in 2002 they needed some time to get things going again.
