JENS LYSDAL was born in Sweden by danish parents. Following a year in New Orleans, the family moved to Denmark. He started his professional career by playing school-gigs with his band on the island Thurø at the age of 13. In 1995 Sundance Records released his debut CD "A Matter of Time" which became the best-reviewed release of the year.
