Lil Boat 3.5 is the deluxe edition of Lil Yachty’s May 2020 album, Lil Boat 3. The renewed version of the LP includes eight additional tracks.
On the day after releasing Lil Boat 3, Yachty confirmed that he would be releasing a deluxe edition and stated that Lil Baby would feature on the album.
“Coffin” was released as the deluxe version’s lead single on October 1, 2020. It was originally only a standalone single, but its unexpected viral success on TikTok led to Yachty placing it on the album. Earlier that day, Yachty and Vince Staples recorded “In My Stussy’s.”
On November 20, Yachty unveiled the artwork and release date for the deluxe. Four days later, on the 24th, he posted the tracklist.
