Kushti was a side project for erstwhile Black Dog affiliates Plaid, consisting of members Ed Handley and Andrew Turner. They debuted with the Freestyle EP on the Octopus label in 1995, which established this project's output as a excursion into eclectic, sample-based music – as opposed to Plaid's more familiar, electronic textures.
