Biography

Three artists share the name of Kevin Martin:
Singer and frontman for Get Back Loretta, the frontman of 90s band Candlebox and the producer better known as The Bug.

1.
Kevin Martin stepped aside from Get Back Loretta and has released his first solo album titled Throwback Pop and is gaining a lot of exposure in L.A. and San Diego. Throwback Pop is the self-titled album of San Diego based pop artist Kevin Martin. Kevin paired up with L.A. based music producer Lauren Scheff, son of legendary bassist for Elvis and the Doors Jerry Scheff.

2
Kevin achieved huge success as the front-man for Candlebox despite being looked down upon by some fans of the time for their style - though they were labeled it they never claimed to be grunge, rather rock and roll. This is reflected by Kevin’s album “The Possibility Of Being”, a collaboration under the title of Kevin Martin and the Hiwatts. Candlebox currently are doing a reunion tour and the official Hiwatts site has not been updated since 2005.

slightly confused by the bias towards the obscure frontman of a one-hit-wonder band (universally derided at the time for being entirely derivative, and then swiftly forgotten) over a well known, currently active and still well respected music producer. I resisted the urge to edit the wiki beyond sorting out the horrific spelling
