Karpatské chrbáty is an alternative rock band formed originally in 1982 in Vrbové, Slovakia. Their trademark are creative and witty lyrics sung by charismatic lead singer Branislav Jobus and moving guitar riffs by Miroslav Kusý. During 27 years of performing the band has recorded six studio albums (named 1 to 5 and the 2009 piece called Canis Carpathicus) but still manage to remain off the mainstream and keep on playing their very own rockish style performing at numerous gigs and festivals.

With Roman Klčo on bass and Peter Hrdina on drums their live performance including expressive costumes and theatrical choreography goes great with the enjoyable alt-rock music and makes you want to sing along.
