I am now 81 yrs old and have been a fan of Ella since I was 14 yrs old. This is Christy NOT ELLA.

I agree with all previous comments that this is Lady Ella and not June Christy. Sounds like a live recording from the late 50's or 60's

One day Last.Fm will let me listen to June Christy herself :-) . She was a very decent singer in her own right. Not in Ella's class, perhaps, but that's no disgrace.

Well I'm glad someone is flagging it 'cause this is about as Ella as you can get.

I started a tag "Misattribution" to flag tracks like this. All of two other people have followed my lead :-) . I'll play that radio for the fun of it to see what other nonsenses we've turned up.

I remember that June did a fine version of this, but this clearly is Ella. How does one get last.fm to put things like this right?

this is the unmistakable and unmatched voice of the grand duchess of song Miss Ella Fitzgerald...june had a voice...but NOBODY touches ella...no one even comes close!

A more "bluesy" version (ala Ella Fitzgerald)...so many versions out there. Check out Les Paul's version: http://www.last.fm/music/Les%2BPaul%2B%2526%2BMary%2BFord/_/How+High+The+Moon

I've always loved June's voice and musicality. Perfect for cocktails, cooking dancing or just listening...

Love this arrangement from the great Stan the man, and great singing by the Misty one.
