Jim Guittard has rambled his way all over the place including Colorado, Texas, California, Bulgaria and Oregon. Guittard played in jazz bands and always records with his 4-track.

For a spell, he clicked his boots among The Brian Jonestown Massacre scene in Silverlake, California. He played in a duo called The Ragas with Henry McGuinn.
