Jessica Brown Findlay is an actress born 14 September 1989. She is best known for playing Lady Sybil Crawley in the British period drama, Downtown Abbey and Emelia Conan-Doyle in the comedy-drama Albatross. She is from Cookham, Berkshire in England. At first Jessica Brown Findlay trained to become a ballet dancer; at the age of fifteen she was invited to dance at the Royal Opera House. After her GCSEs Jessica Brown Findlay attended the Art’s Educational School in London during which she had three ankle operations. The third one went wrong and she was told that she would never be able to dance again. After finishing school she went on to study Fine Art at St Martin’s where she began taking acting classes. She performed her song “Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand)” on the second episode of Channel 4’s series Black Mirror where she played Abi Khan.
