“Herstory”:
Holly Brook, is a multi-instrumental singer and songwriter from Mazomanie, Wisconsin.
By the age of two, she was harmonizing her mother Candace’s trio when members weren’t on time for rehearsal. By the age of six, Holly was performing professionally in a mother-daughter duo called Generations. At 15, she had already recorded 3 independent albums as Generations.
By the time she reached high school, Holly was sneaking into nightclubs and befriending jazz musicians. She says, “the musicianship was absolutely mind-blowing.” With the help of a friend, jazz bassist Jeff Eckels, Holly put together her first band and they played their first show at the Concourse Hotel Bar in Madison. She was only 15.
