Vocalist, instrumentalist, and Universal published songwriter Holly Brook has worked professionally in the music industry since the young age of 6. Now a seasoned touring musician, she has a substantial catalogue of work to her name, including 3 albums from her childhood performing with her mother in the duo, Generations, as well as 2 solo albums under the name, Holly Brook. Her debut solo album was entitled, “Like Blood Like Honey,” and was a Machine Shop/Warner Brothers release. More recently,”O’Dark:Thirty EP,” was an independent release produced by Duncan Sheik and Jon Ingoldsby. She gained most of her recognition as a featured vocalist on Fort Minor’s number 2 Billboard hit “Where’d You Go,” for which she also won and MTV VMA in 2006. Lately, Holly has been focusing on the songwriting side of the industry.

Holly Brook, is a multi-instrumental singer and songwriter from Mazomanie, Wisconsin.
By the age of two, she was harmonizing her mother Candace’s trio when members weren’t on time for rehearsal. By the age of six, Holly was performing professionally in a mother-daughter duo called Generations. At 15, she had already recorded 3 independent albums as Generations.

By the time she reached high school, Holly was sneaking into nightclubs and befriending jazz musicians. She says, “the musicianship was absolutely mind-blowing.” With the help of a friend, jazz bassist Jeff Eckels, Holly put together her first band and they played their first show at the Concourse Hotel Bar in Madison. She was only 15.

At first, I actually didn't really like the change she made in her carreer by changing her name and her music. But now, listening to the album Don't Look Down, I can still find the old Holly Brook who I fell in love with in some songs. If you think she completely changed her style, try listening to "White Suburban": Holly is COMPLETELY there. She is one of the best voices I've ever met and I really do hope she will come to Brazil someday.

"All I Want Is Love" and "Man on the Mountaintop" - two of the best songs she's ever made.

@zackaryhope: I think they mean that they either like the name better or they like the specific music better.

Does ANYONE know where I can get the b-sides from Like Blood Like Honey? According to wiki, they were on some "deluxe edition", which I cannot find any information on anywhere. Amazon, eBay, iTunes, PirateBay, etc. No one has those extra tracks available.

Lmao. They are the same person, I don't know why some people are comparing her to herself. Jeez.

Keep both tags, Holly music is Holly's and Skylar's music is Skylar's. You wouldn't merge Selena Gomez + Selena Gomez & the Scene, even though the latter isn't really much of a band.

Skylar & Holly need to be merged. You personal opinions on her name change or her music as Skylar is irrelevant, she is now Skylar whether you like it or not. [3]

Sky and Holly shouldn't be merged. Music legally under Holly Brook should remain and the new songs under Skylar should remain also. [1]

If you wouldn't emerge Deep Deep Sleep with everything Holly is involved with why emerge both of their solo work?
