Biography
Bio:
Highfish was founded 1996. In 2000 they released a first EP Round Robin, and in 2003 the second EP ride on was released on Little Jig Records.
The second EP also contained what you could call a "hit-single", namely rip tide, for which (only) in 2003 (!) they were awarded with the "Kick Ass Award" from Radio 3fach and in 2004 they received the "Diesel-U-Music-Award" at the M4M Demotapeclinic. To this song, a nice video clip was produced that many people kept voting for, so it would be played more often. All this made Highfish kind of a figurehead for the rock scene from Lucerne in Switzerland.
In 2006, now with a new drummer, they released their first long player suck push bang blow again on Little Jig Records. They played a lot of live shows in 2006/2007.
On April 7th, 2007, after over 100 gigs, they announced they would split up ("professional and familiar duties"). They left the door for a future reunion open, though, and affirmed they would still be engaged in music.
