Life long messenger of love, longing,struggle and celebration,Fragga Ranks,born Anthony Thomas hailing from Red Hills Road in Kingston Jamaica turned to music as a natural extension to his life.This prolific artist (with a deep raspy voice)has traveled a long road from obscurity to the top of the UK Reggae charts with his first record Hug Me Up.With over twenty years experience,Fragga has collaborated with many artist;The Mighty Diamonds,Barrington Levy,Cynthia Schloss,Junior Reid,Pinchers,Freddie McGregor,Pam Hall and Kotch just to name a few.
Not only is Fragga an artist by right but a talented producer as well.His latest offering is the FOCUS compilation.This one-riddim album features Luthan Fyah,Jah Mason,Anthony Cruz,Freddie McGregor along side upcoming artist as well.RED EYE is another compilation featuring Wayne Wonder,Mr. Easy,Richie Stephens and Kharikill just to name a few.TURN ME ON is another hit compliation featuring tunes from Sizzla,Frankie Paul,Sluggy Ranks and other emerging artist.In contrast to Turn Me On (a club banger) the M16 REVOLUTION is a more roots reggae compilation featuring Luciano,Sluggy Ranks and many new and upcoming artist.
THINGS KINA FUNNY puts forth the definitive Fragga Ranks collection to date.This CD offers songs for everyone.Lets not forget about the LONER album, Fragga's collaborative work with various artist recorded during the 90's. Fragga Ranks continues to grow musically because of his consistency.In 2010 he collaborated with one of reggae music most soulful voices,Beres Hammond on ''Star Time'', which also featured Tom Laing.In 2011 Fragga released yet another club banger,"Party Life",on the AH NUH ME riddim.He also collaborated with reggae music veteran Eekamouse on,"New Life",on the MIGHTY IN BATTLE riddim.As he remain independent,he still does not stray away from working with other producers."Avoid Di War" was also released in 2011 on TOTAL SATISFACTION label.Constantly hounding his craft recording and producing,Fragga is now extending his divine talents in photography, acting and directing his very own web series on Youtube called T U F F C I T Y TV.In 2023, he has released 7 singles "DEM BOY DEH","PUSS & DOG","BUTTA","TRODDING","I DONT CARE","PLEASE" and "WORK THAT BODY" as well as his EP "TIMELESS". Although he is a veteran artist,Fragga is still relevant today. Fragga Ranks music is available on all digital platforms (Facebook,Youtube,Twitter etc) reaching out to new and long time fans.
