Biography

Bristol, England.
From a laid back, dirty and messy graffiti city.
Full of artistic and creative people; comes a chaotic three piece in the form Forgery Lit.
Who found it hard to imagine that the music they made would ever fall into Bristol’s popular genres with
the likes of Massive attack, Portishead and electronic music. That has bestowed a stigma upon the city.
This trend has been carried though with dubstep and drum n’ bass. It’s hard to believe that a guitar driven
band would find a place in such an environment.
In the last year though Bristol has shown a taste for the plucking of string fuelled music. Slowly the
melodies in people’s headphones are starting to sound more rock n’ roll gradually replacing the heavy
beats and deep basslines.
There are numerous worthy bands that started showing their faces on stages all around the city with a
complex and angry lust for music.
It was in this unique niche where the Forgery Lit trio started to feel at home. The city is still the same, but
the scene is on the rise, beginning to compete with London, Brighton, Manchester and all other spots on
the map that have been monopolising rock music so far.
All three musicians and the band as a whole have stepped back from what is happening around them
musically, having no interest in re-enacting or recreating what has been before them. They are simply three
friends from three different parts of the world (Greece, South east and South west of England)
This drives their creativeness;
From what life was,
What life is,
And what life will be.
Forgery Lit has no plan when creating music. It’s purely accidental.
Proof for this lies in their sound and unique way of creating music.
Ami, Niko and Gaz continue to forge their way up into the bizarre universe known as the music industry.
