“„Feos“ is an one-man band that was officially founded by the 20 years old Iason Roumkos in April 2008. The First 6 Songs E.P. “Katastasi” which was recorded in own production, was released online at the blog “Silence is also a Sound” in September 2008. It can be understood as a concept album because the songs follow each other through sounds and harmonies of different moods and feelings. The intention of Feos is to create an expression of Iasons life and how he experiences our environment. As life has got several faces Feos got them, too.
That’s why the music is eclectic and doesn’t follow a linear route so that there always will be a variation but without losing its character. The first release contains sounds of Black Metal, Post Rock, Shoegaze, Trip Hop, Ambient and acoustic guitars. Feos is greek an means “God” and nearly all songs are titled also in greek. He hasn’t took this name because he is religious but because through Feos he is able to create a world with its own rules and ideal with topics like the destruction of the environment, our misdirected society and the banality and strength of existence. You see the world of Feos isn’t that far away from anyone’s reality. The future of this band is unclear. New songs are in progress.”
