Ethereal Beauty was the shoegaze/post-rock band of Jordan Leal (who was also doing Desolation at the same time) from Southern California. The project came about in April 2008 and during the year he recorded two demo songs. The band was immediately signed to Abridged Pause Recordings, on which it was announced that a split EP with the Canadian band Vision Éternel was in the works. In 2009, the two demo songs were used on the compilation “The World Comes To An End In The End Of A Journey”. Following this release, Jordan would work on material due to be released on the split, and after writing three songs, his music writing evolved and he started using the moniker Bonfires For Nobody. The debut album by Bonfires for Nobody features the three last songs written as Ethereal Beauty, as well as seven songs composed after the name change.
