  • The new album is great.
  • Dusk Mariner
  • New album sounds pretty damn great on first listen, I already prefer it to ARftA. Dusk Mariner and Dishearten are the tracks that stand out most so far.
  • "New album sounds to be in the Pop Genre! " Riiight.. please show me anyone who only listens to pop and charts and likes this album. ;D And happy.. I mean, wtf? To me the new album is nothing but sad and depressive just like the rest of their albums.
  • Господи, какой же всё-таки хороший альбом вышел.
  • Stellar Tombs is my favorite song of new album. And it will be a new video!!!
  • It's another great album from Draconian for me, even if I prefer the earlier stuff more. Nice and atmospheric, an ideal autumn/winter release, great to drive to too.
  • You know, no matter what style a band play, if they ever change styles people will call them sell-outs. So Draconian speeding songs a little int TSW: automatically selling out. xD Btw, TSW has my favorite Draconian song: Not Breathing.
  • Nah, it's been pretty slow in general here after the initial flood of Sovran praise mixed with "they played it too safe," and I've put off replying to wait for more responses :) Thanks for your thoughts, all. TSW is my go-to album for beautiful gloomy atmosphere, and for dark consolation and catharsis - I guess I use it like an emo teenager uses angst rock, haha. In that way it makes me *feel* happier, even if it isn't inherently happy. And in concession to the reviewer, I confess I love it when they lay doom chords over a fast beat, The Drowning Age being an obvious example; whether that was "selling out" or not, I don't know. I tend to like blends of doom elements with poppier metal more than doom metal itself - Rest Calm is my top played Nightwish song. Wish they'd used more than 5% strength doom influence. :P I'm glad Rivers Between Us seems to be a popular favorite; some of my favorite romantic lyrics ever are in Draconian songs - Seasons Apart, Bloodflower, Elysian Night.
