Germany (1996 – present)

There are three known artists with this name:

1) Diorama is a darkwave / electrogoth band from Germany,
2) Diorama is a folk-rock band from Italy.
3) Diorama is a post-rock/math rock band from Peru.

1) Germany (1996-present)

Diorama was formed by Torben Wendt. Torben’s music was soon recognized by Adrian Hates of Diary of Dreams, so with his support and the support of Rainer Assmann (Daf/ Fad Gadget), a debut-album “Pale” was released in 1999. It was received very well both by the critics and the audience (more details further down under 1 on the wiki).

2) Italy (????-????) no info present, couldn’t find them with cursory Google/Discogs searches, please update wiki if you know this band.

3) Peru (2011-present), Invents post-jamming psychedelic landscapes with a math rock feel, very chill and very textured.

1) In 2000, Torben’s friend Felix Marc joined Diorama as a keyboard player, co-producer and backing vocalist. The second album “Her Liquid Arms” was released in April 2001. Despite its stronger rhythms and more forceful electronic sounds, the music preserved its distinctive atmosphere, established with the first album. The song “Advance” became one of the leading club hits and the band was becoming increasingly popular. The second album was followed by club-oriented single “Device” (December, 2001.)

    This is a masterpiece. They gave attention to the details. Even if the CD cover is perfect.     Totally love the new album. My favourites so far are The Scale, Hellogoodbye, Hope, When we meet again in hell and over. But actually all the songs are great! :) I really hope Summer Darkness will be added to the events list... ;o)
