Biography

Dietmar Garn belongs to the new generation of international renowned guitarists. He studied classical guitar with Prof. T. Sasaki at the Musikhochschule Koeln/Aachen and with M. Troester at the Musikakademie Kassel and electric-guitar at the Munich-Guitar-Institute MGI. Concerts brought him several times to asia and australia and he toured in gemany and other european countries. He was awarded in many international guitar-competitions worldwide. Awards: -1st prize "43rd Tokyo International Guitar-Competition 2000" -1st prize and absolute winner " International Music-Competition Anemos Rome 2002" -2nd prize "Hong Kong International Guitar Competition 2002" -2nd prize "Australian Guitar Competition Newcastle 2002" -1st prize and absolute winner "International Music Competition Rovere d..Oro Imperia/Italy 2004" -1st prize "European Guitar Competition Gorizia 2004" Italy Finalist in the guitar-competitions Viareggio/Italy , Printemps de la Guitare/Belgium, Velez-Malaga/Spain, Open-Strings Osnabrueck/Germany and semifinalist GFA Columbus/Georgia USA. Dietmar Garn has an endorsement contract with yamaha classical guitar/japan and with framus guitars/germany. He recorded for television and broadcasting in and out of germany. His participation at the CD-Project spectrum-musicum was broadcasted in german-radio. The "Japan Federation of Guitarist" produced a Live-Video which was recorded in Tokyo 2001. The italian guitar magazine "Chitarra Classica" published an interview under the title "The future of the guitar with Dietmar Garn" "Experience the magic of the classical guitar with Dietmar Garn".
