I finally saw The Mist. I will concede that this song was a very good fit with the ending, definitely helped form the mood. I do, however stand by previous statement. Hearing this song with the very real images in Baraka just seems so much more powerful. It gives the scene an almost spiritual, very somber feel. Lisa Gerrard's voice is like a beautiful lament to these poor souls, almost as though mourning them. In that serious context I think this song is overwhelming, juxtaposed against the extreme poverty portrayed.
