Libra, B-Boy, over 10 years Dj experience, former record store owner, obsessive funky music collector & occasional producer/remixer. Played alongside top performers including: Fort Knox Five, Mark Farina, South City Allstars, Boca 45, Malente and Freddy Fresh as well as Bands such as Soundtribe Sector 9, Zilla, The Afromotive, Strut, Laura Reed and Deep Pocket among others. Festivals: Bonarroo '04 '06 '09, Echo Project, Bel Chere, One World, Lexington Avenue Arts Festival, Mountain Sports Festival, Trinumeral, Transformus, Asheville Full Moon Gatherings. Versatility: Fashion Shows, Art Galleries, Lingerie Parties, Pimps & Hoes, B Boy battles, Snowboard comps, Mountain Bike comps, Clubs big and small, Warehouses, Lounges, Red Bull events, Gap Jeans in-store events, weddings, house parties and everything in between. Mixing Styles: Cutting, scratching, beatdropping, hip hop & funk 45's to seamless blending of breakbeats, house, electro etc… Music: Educational & Crowd Pleasing. song selection depends on circumstance and the crowd. Anything funky- electronic, non- electronic from the lounge to peak hour to sunrise. genres are not as important as the feeling a song provokes. Dj sets must be dynamic and full of surprises like a winding road where you never know whats around the next bend - multidimensional, omnidirectional, never boring & never evil. I tend to stay away from: most top-40 Pop, 80's night formats, karaoke, commercial/pop- rap, request formats and anything that doesn't need my help to survive. Though I can and have done this many times in the past. I do not feel that my musical calling is to be redundant but rather to evolve and continually grow into new(to me) sounds wherever they may be revealed.
