1. Charlot is a Dutch singer-songwriter (Lotte Mulder) who is inspired by art, books, films and the stories that life creates. By combining warm strings, synthesizers and her serene voice, she turns these stories into music. After providing support for Wende twice in Paradiso, it is now time for her own performance to celebrate the release of EP Under Wishing Stars.
2. Charlot was born from the ashes of "Adiós, Capitán" in the spring of 2006. Julio Ródenas (vocals, guitar, bass), Mariola Mora (vocals, drums) and Juan Ródenas (keyboards, percussion), continue with the incorporation of Jorge Mora (guitar, bass). With "Adiós, Capitán" they remained in second place in the Creajoven 05, and a few months later they were finalists for the Onda Nave. This year, they recorded "Brother Monk," a frantic blues and tribal debtor of the cave sounds of Tom Waits, and 'Gardens', which have roots in the folk-pop-rock, closest to Bob Dylan and certain vocal reminiscent of Lou Reed, two songs already played with "Adiós, Capitán" that give the idea of their style they like to define as inevitably eclectic: "We try to learn from rock, blues, jazz, swing and avant-garde expressionist of cabaret. We have universal referents that we could not bypass: Tom Waits, Andres Calamaro, David Bowie, Lou Reed, Lhasa, Ariel Rot, Marc Ribot. "
