Carl Strommen is a clinician, commissioned writer and composer. He graduated from City College of New York and continues to be connected with the academic community in an adjunct "Professor of Orchestration and Composition" position at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, NY.
His work involving vocal music, band, jazz band, as well as orchestra, has made him one of the most performed composer/arrangers in the world. His music is heard in television, film, and concert settings, regularly.
He has repeatedly earned the annual ASCAP Standard Writers Award.
Although Mr. Strommen and family live on Long Island, they spend extended time in Boulder and Denver, Colorado.
