Always (5:53)

Cover of Cross Road

From Cross Road and 60 other releases

The song was originally written for the soundtrack to the 1993 film Romeo Is Bleeding. After disliking the film, the band decided not to lend the song to the producers; upon release, the film was a critical and box office disaster. Jon Bon Jovi left the track on his shelf and forgot about it, until a friend found the track and convinced him to release it on the band’s Cross Road compilation album and went on to become their best selling single, with a million copies sold in the U.S. and more than 3 million worldwide.

This Romeo is bleeding, but you can't see his blood
It's nothing but some feelings
That this old dog kicked up
It's been raining since you left me
