Biography
Boab aka Robbie Houston, is part of this category of musicians made in Glasgow unknown but oh so precious to our ears. Also a member of post-punk band Sweaty Palms, Robbie is a diamond in the rough, visibly nurtured by the music of peers like Kevin Morby, Leonard Cohen, Kurt Vile and Bob Dylan. When you listen to Boab, you get the feeling that his timeless songs are sung for you, they sink into your cortex and stay warm there. So beware of addiction, which could well propel you into a mood between dark love song and emotional road trip anyway. Like his heroes, Boab brings a precious stone to the powerful auditory edifice where all his know-how and his pregnant melancholy.
