at first i kinda just only liked it, but now i'd say this is easily my favorite deathcore album, as its sound is way more than just deathcore and it works so fucking well. the notable doom/funeral doom and black metal influences and atmospheric touches just make this album way more potent than the rest of black tongue's works or basically any other deathcore album imo. and the lyrics and storytelling, especially paired with the atmospheric touches is also absolutely top-notch as far as deathcore goes.

Update: This is a decent record, it's somewhere in the 7-8/10 range. However there is something missing that made the previous record so fun and enjoyable for me. It's an evolution in the sound towards something I would attempt to describe as moody post-metal, especially with the riffing. Because of this evolution, I've noticed that it has become a great introduction for a lot of people who previously have been extremely reserved about deathcore. That gateway drug -like dimension gives me a new way to appreciate this, even if I think this wasn't a one-up from the previous endeavor.

The album is very concerned with atmosphere and storytelling. I am not sure if Black Tongue is equipped for it. I am kinda on the fence with this.
