Molde, Norway

Bannlyst was a band from Molde, Norway. They put out one demo tape in 1983, one split tape with Angor Wat and the “La dem ikke lure deg” 7” EP (both in 1984). The 7” was put out by the Oslo based label X-Port Plater run by Gunnar Nuven of Svart Framtid. Bannlyst consisted of Per Arne Haugen (bass), Finn Erik Tangen (vocal), Børre Løvik (guitar) and Thomas Fosseide (drums). Everybody except Fosseide later started So Much Hate together with Gunnar Nuven. Fosseide later played in Kafka Prosess and Stengte Dører. Bannlyst played several reunion gigs between 1992 and 1994, the most well-known was at the Blitz squats 10 year anniversary. A discography LP is in the works.
