ashtech is a producer, bass player, solo artist and dj. his style combines original dub and urban electronica and is uniquely characterised by the flavor of is heavy dubby bassline which features strongly in all of his productions.
he has started his career as a dj and spent his younger years listening to a broad range of music, taking in influences from different styles and building a passion for the experimentation on the diversity of sound.
for 5 years, ashtech was almamegretta’s bass player and toured italy and europe on the mainstream circuit, releasing 4 albums with them. in italy he worked on 14 albums as a producer and as a musician.
now based in london, he launched his debut solo album walkin’ target - produced by dub maestro gaudi - which was released on interchill records during the summer of 2007. the album includes 4 tracks featuring the inimitable reggae vocal stylings by cheshire cat (leftfield) and has been considered a dub masterpiece by the worldwide music press.
in addition to his work as a producer and solo artist, ashtech has performed as a dj at many music festivals and events in europe and the uk such as electric picnic, waveform project, id spiral, high foundation festival and many more. his wide–ranging track selection touches the numerous styles of urban sounds and is an outstanding combination of emotion and energy
