Annihilator is a thrash metal band founded by Jeff Waters in Ottawa, Canada in 1984.

Along with singer John Bates, the original line-up was complete when drummer Paul Malek and bassist Dave Scott (Richer) joined the band.
Bates and Scott decided to leave the following year citing artistic differences and personality conflicts. Waters relocated to Vancouver where he assembled a whole new line-up, including former D.O.A. member Randy Rampage. Waters has continued to shuffle the line-up, including singers, throughout the band’s history.

"Set the World on Fire" is hardly Thrash anymore, a decent Metal album it is. Sure the frist three were "back in the day", some of the later albums are far better than "Set the World on Fire" ... was quite a dissapointment. Pretty sure "Refresh The Demon" would have been one of the best with a decent singer. And "Carnival Diablos" for instance is superior to "Set the World on Fire" and way more Thrash.

'Nothing Left' is some of the most badass sounding shit i have ever heard, Jeff / Annihilator is what Van Halen would have sounded like if he was a Thrash man.. i like & i am entertained by Jeff more than Dave Mustaine, both are great but Jeff is a far better song / riff writer & i just fucking love his playing style, Criteria for a Black widow is Annihilators best album after Alice In Hell & Never Neverland. solo in Bloodbath, the songs Criteria For A Black Widow, Loving The Sinner.. forget about it , Alexi Laiho from children of bodom obviously took allot from Jeff. right down to some of his riffs ( Schizos (Are Never Alone) Part III ).

"Never, Neverland" should be the highest rated/or played. From there "Alice In Hell" then "Set the World on Fire" from there, who cares. It's all about those three classic thrash albums.

@Chris1306 try King of the Kill (better and clearer sound than the first 3 albums, for me ofc), Never,Neverland (one of the best thrash albums I've ever heard) and maybe Carnival Diablos (plenty of amazing riffs, nice vocals)
