Biography
Amund Enger (b. 12.04.1954) is a Norwegian singer, guitar player and songwriter from Oslo. In the spring of 2010 Amund will release his fourth solo album, with Norwegian lyrics this time.
Amund's third album A Glimpse of Happiness (2006) contains a handful warm and lyrical acoustic songs rooted in the singer-songwriter tradition. Nine of the ten songs are written by Amund, who has been described by Jan Eggum as one of Norway's finest songwriters. Lyrics by Jeff Wasserman, Tim Hegarty, Jan Vincents Johannessen og Elisabeth Arnet, in addition to Amund's own.
A Glimpse of Happiness is produced by Håkon Iversen; musicians are: Gjermund Silset: bass, Pete Abbott: drums, Geir Sundstøl: steel-guitar, Øystein Birkeland: cello, Ingvild Pedersen: additional vocals. All other instruments by Amund Enger.
Amund Enger made his solo debut in 1981, and released two albums with Norwegian lyrics in the 80s. He has also participated in numerous recordings by other artists.
