  • Though his arrangements are quite simple instrumentally, they're full of heart and love. I can always appreciate that. San Antonio Ran was beautiful.
  • so sadly underrated
  • I saw this cat down in Austin last year on a fluke. I had actually gone to see Southern Culture on the Skids (who Alejandro opened for that night) and I was blown away with what Alejandro and his band delivered. They definitely stole the show that night and I have been a fan ever since!
  • new track from his upcoming album big station:
  • One of the most underrated artists I listen to.
  • I love his slower tempo songs, definitely knows how to rock out as well.
  • Good to see all the positive comments. Alejandro is a great person and artist.
  • I met Al when I was living in Austin. He is not only staggering to watch on stage and fiery in performance, but he's also a genuinely good guy and easy to like.
  • Is 'The Boxing Mirror' any good? I'm really curious, cos I'm a big John Cale fan (he produced the album), and I'm just getting into Escovedo's stuff.
  • Phenomenally talented live performer, say him at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival.
