"To me the anger and harshness of black metal is all about being angry, or unsatisfied with the way the world is, and appreciating nature is an outlet for that too" No doubt about that

Tahoma is distinct enough from its influences, and well inspired. The riffs are splendid, and the imagery is too. I really like this black metal with themes of cascadian forests and their beauty. Having lived there makes this album all too real. To me the anger and harshness of black metal is all about being angry, or unsatisfied with the way the world is, and appreciating nature is an outlet for that too. The two ideas blend beautifully in all kinds of music like agalloch, drudkh, and wolves in the throne room's. ALda does it very well too.

This stuff could use more tension and dynamics [2] Drudkh are the better option for such music.

I was expecting something like Agalloch, but just ended up getting bored. This stuff could use more tension and dynamics
