Wolves in the Throne Room is a band which formed in Olympia, Washington, United States in 2004. The band currently consists of brothers Nathan Weaver (vocals, guitar) and Aaron Weaver (drums, other instruments). The band has released four albums, 2006’s “Diadem of 12 Stars”, 2007’s “Two Hunters”, 2009’s “Black Cascade” and 2011’s “Celestial Lineage”.

    I agree with those who find difficulty in thinking of their favourite WITTR album. I often think mine is Black Cascades but sometimes when I listen to Two Hunters, everything I think I know kind of drifts away from me. Rocks and Roots is phenomenal. Does anyone know if there is anything new in the works?

    If the sorceress did almost all of the vocals, this would probably be my favorite band. As it is, I merely love it. Diadem and the self-titled demo are my favorites, but Celestial Lineage grew on me. Their tour posters are really beautiful.

    I can't really figure out what albums are my faves. Apparently, I like Black Cascade the most.... but making an order after that is almost impossible. But I guess Black Cascade, then Diadem of 12 Stars along with Celestial Lineage. Two Hunters has two amazing sons, but has never hit me as a full work.

    WITTR are great, probably my favorite USBM band (along with Agalloch). I couldn't give a fuck if they are hipster or not. I just love the epic and hypnotic atmosphere off their music. There is also a lot of feeling and emotion behind what they create, so I guess that's trve enough for me.
