Seoul, South Korea (2007 – present)

Son Dam Bi (born September 25, 1983) is a singer, dancer, actress & model, from Seoul, South Korea, who debuted in 2007. She became accidentally popular before her debut through the web after someone uploaded a video of her dancing. She became known as the “female Rain” after she appeared in a Samsung CF.

Her career followed with featuring in MVs and commercials. The one that truly got her to attention was a commercial with Poppin’ hyun joon in which she showed off her dance moves.

She started training with a well-known American choreographer to prepare for her debut album. In June 2007, she released her first single, Cry Eye. She followed up with her first album, 손담비 Mini Album Vol. 1 in April 2008. March 2009, she released a full length album, ‘Type B: Back to 80’s’, which featured the hit song 토요일 밤에 (On a Saturday night). In July of the same year Dam Bi released the single ‘Amoled’ with After School, her label mates.
