루이(RUI) (Real name: Watanabe Rui Kanji: 渡辺瑞) is a Japanese K-pop soloist. She is part of South Korean girl group, H.U.B. She is under the label New Planet Entertainment.
Not to be confused with rapper 루이(LOUIE) or RUI Kou Shibasaki's character from the film Yomigaeri.
Pre-debut (Solo)
Rui was born on October 8, 1994 in Kyoto, Japan. She was in girl group N-Bulance. On November 24, 2016 she debuted in girl group H.U.B (Hope U Bounce) with the single "Girl Gang".
2016
On August 17, 2016, Rui debuted with "Exciting".
2017
In January, Rui gained recognition from winning gold medal in ISAC's (Idol Star Athletics Championships) Women's 60m Speed Race, breaking the previous record.
On June 20, 2017 she released her single "Tonight" (오늘밤).
In October 2017 she joined South Korean reality tv show, MIXNINE. However, she got eliminated in episode 13 (January 21, 2018), ranking 25th place. During the show, she was ranked 2nd out of 12 for best visuals in the show.
2018
On May 2, 2018 Rui released her single "I Don't Care" (알게뭐야)
