In 1992, their single Kimi ga Iru Dake de (君がいるだけで) won the Japanese record first prize. After their breakup, vocalist Carl Smokey Ishii (石井竜也, Tatsuya Ishii) began a solo career late in 1997. K2C's horn section continued on under the name BIG HORNS BEE.
