The Lord replies, "I have seen violence done to the helpless, and I have heard the groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them, as they have longed for me to do." - Psalm 12:5
The word “uprising” is most often applied to unjustly oppressed people reaching the point that they are willing to risk life and limb to change their condition…a revolt. It implies furor—zeal for an outcome.

Psalm 12:5 describes God as rising up. He has issues! He hears desperate cries and moves. In spiritual terms we’re all included—we need to be rescued. In material terms His rising to help the helpless and rescue the poor is something to which we, as Christ-followers, must respond.
How will we react to His actions? Will we embrace helplessness and bring hope? Will we engage lack to relieve poverty?
Uprising is an enthusiastic response to those things with which God has an issue. First, rise up against spiritual poverty—in yourself and in your friends—by looking for heavenly things (Colossians 3:1). Then, turn and fight against the things that oppress others…injustice, lack, loneliness.
Be a part of the solution. ATTACK LACK! By giving you’re part of the UPRISING.
