Description

After more than 50 years of touring sold-out arenas and stadiums around the world, the Eagles have embarked on their latest tour, "The Long Goodbye," celebrating their prestigious career.

In an earlier statement, The Eagles - Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey - said of the tour: “We have toured the world and kept the music alive amidst tragic losses , upheavals and setbacks of various kinds. Thanks go to our long-standing management team, our serious crew and our professional backup musicians for their expert and steadfast support over all these years. We realize how lucky we are and we are grateful. Our long journey has lasted much longer than either of us ever dreamed. But everything has its time, and the time has come to close the circle. We want to give our fans the opportunity to see us during these last shows. Most importantly, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. Ultimately, you are the reason we have been able to continue for more than five decades. This is our farewell, but the music goes on and on."

As the best-selling American band of the '70s and one of the best-selling acts of all time, the band sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, including six No. 1 albums, and topped the singles charts five times. The Eagles won six Grammy Awards, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016. Their album 'Their Greatest Hits 1971-1977' was declared the best-selling album ever (38x platinum); the album 'Hotel California' (26x platinum) is in third place.
