Description
Randy Newman returns to Royal Festival Hall, performing songs from throughout his four-decade career.
Since the release of his self-titled debut in 1968, the singer-songwriter has created many widely recognised masterpieces. In addition to his own solo recordings – including 12 Songs, Sail Away and Good Old Boys – Newman’s songs have been covered by artists including Art Garfunkel, Dusty Springfield and Nina Simone.
Newman is also an in-demand composer of scores. His music has accompanied films such as Meet The Parents, James and the Giant Peach and, most famously, seven Disney-Pixar movies – including A Bug’s Life, Monsters, Inc. and all three Toy Story films.
Among many other awards, he has won six Grammys, three Emmys and two Oscars.
