Description
Tonight we invite you into our Silo, a cavern of the unconscious and überconscious, to expand your sensorially comprehensible universe with a series of hypnotic and hypnagogic audio-visual performances exploring personal utopias and imaginary landscapes.
Francesco Cavaliere invents words and fantasy languages strictly related to specific objects and musical compositions. A member of Alberorovesciato, Doro Bengala, Mirror Trance, and Sea Urchin, he recently performed his pieces Guam! Alabaster Abacus at the Museet for Samtidskunst (Roskilde), OyO Q with Set Mosaic at Hau 2 (Berlin), and Gancio Cielo alla ricerca del terzo occhio di tartaruga at Paradoxes (Ravenna) and Bruxelles Art Fair.
When Dolphins of The Future a.k.a. Lieven Martens Moana’s music is at its most natural, as collaged compositions mimicking paintings, the human mind is still absent in presence. He produces sounds of ethnical, electronic, or classical nature, watermarking the natural world as it were. He will be presenting a series of concerts based around the Hula Of Westlake; the happenings may involve dance, slide images, spoken word, audience participation and cigar smoking.
Floris Vanhoof extends our nervous systems with electronic circuits and projected lights for an expanded cinematic experience as three possible compositions: New Twists, Eye Contact & Jouw Muziek (Your Music). The patterns of his modular synthesis set-up are projected in a 4-channel video installation, involving new breathing electronics and brainwave amplification experiments. He recently released a split LP with Keith Fullerton Whitman on Shelter Press as well as his LP Cycles of Confusion on Kraak.
